If you've never had IV therapy, it's natural to wonder what the visit actually involves. Here's what to expect at Desert Lily, from your first question to heading back to your day.

Step 1: A free discovery call
Like every Desert Lily service, IV therapy starts with a complimentary 15-minute discovery call. We listen to what you're looking for, answer your initial questions and walk through expected costs. If you choose to move forward, we schedule your visit. (What happens on a free discovery call?)
No lab work required
IV therapy does not require lab work. Your visit begins with a conversation about your goals, your health history and the support you're looking for. (Which services start with lab work, and why)
The IV options you can ask about
Performance + Recovery. A wellness option for active schedules, training, recovery and times when you feel depleted.
Immunity. Thoughtful hydration and wellness support when staying on top of your routine matters most.
Meyers Cocktail. A well-known IV wellness option, tailored through a provider-guided conversation about your needs.
NAD+. Available as an IV option or, when appropriate, as an add-on push to another IV treatment.
You don't have to pick one in advance. Your provider will review your health history and help you understand which options may be appropriate for you. See IV therapy.
Before your visit
Wear comfortable clothing and a loose-fitting top. Have a little something to eat and make sure you're hydrated before your appointment.
During the visit
Your IV is placed by Brenna, FNP-C, right in our office. We schedule about an hour for each IV visit. It can be shorter, but we like to give you the full hour.
After the visit
Before you leave, your provider will go over anything you should keep in mind after your visit. Most patients can normally return to their usual day, work or training afterward.
Is IV therapy right for everyone?
There's no one-size-fits-all approach. Your provider will review your health history and help you understand which options may be appropriate for you, with no pressure to decide immediately.
